What we require before someone coaches
Our coaches are parents, former players and people who grew up on these fields. They are not paid. They give up weeknights and most of their weekends for a few months a year because somebody did it for them.
Before anyone runs a practice they complete the training the organization requires and hold the certifications the leagues we play in require. Those requirements are listed below so nobody has to ask.
This is the usual set for California youth baseball and softball. It is a starting list, not yours — send us what the board actually requires and it replaces this wholesale.
Practice plans, the code of conduct, incident forms and anything else a coach needs mid-season live here as downloads, so nobody is hunting through an email thread at 6pm on a Tuesday.
This page publishes what you give us. It does not track who has completed what or when a certification expires — that is a records system rather than a web page, and it is not part of the current agreement.
